Ingredients:

  • Arvi (big size) 1/2 kg
  • Whole coriander 1 tbsp
  • Crushed red chili 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Carom seeds 1 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Tamarind pulp 1/2 cup
  • Lemon 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Fenugreek seeds 6-7
  • Roasted & ground cumin 1 tsp
  • Mustard 1 tsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Wash arvi nicely and boil it.
  2. Then cool arvi, peel it and keep it whole.
  3. Then mix coriander, red chili, turmeric, white cumin, carom seeds, onion seeds, tamarind pulp, lemon juice, salt, cumin and mustard nicely for 10 minutes.
  4. Then heat oil and put fenugreek seeds.
  5. When aroma comes, put masala arvi and simmer it for 10 minutes.
  6. Dum arvi is ready.
