Ingredients:
- Boneless fish 1/2 kg
- Lemon juice 2 tbsp
- Whole green chilies 6
- Turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Red chili powder 1-1/2 tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Whole red chilies 8
- Fenugreek seed 1/4 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Onion seeds 1 tsp
- Coriander 1 tsp
- Fennel 1 tsp
- Cumin 1 tsp
- Fried ground onion 4 tbsp
- Crushed coriander leaves 2 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1 tsp
Method:
- Grind cumin, fennel, coriander, fenugreek seeds and mustard and keep it aside.
- Now wash fish with salted water.
- Marinate fish with lemon juice.
- Then heat oil and fry red chilies, onion seeds, garlic paste, salt, turmeric and red chili powder with 1/4 cup water it nicely.
- Now add whipped yogurt and fish and cook for 5 minutes.
- Then put grinded masala and simmer it.
- Then put coriander leaves.
Chatpati Machli is spicy seafood dish. Fish in marinated with lemon juice & cooked with spices. It is served with rice.
