Ingredients:

  • Boneless fish 1/2 kg
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Whole green chilies 6
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Red chili powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Mustard 1 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 8
  • Fenugreek seed 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Coriander 1 tsp
  • Fennel 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Fried ground onion 4 tbsp
  • Crushed coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Grind cumin, fennel, coriander, fenugreek seeds and mustard and keep it aside.
  2. Now wash fish with salted water.
  3. Marinate fish with lemon juice.
  4. Then heat oil and fry red chilies, onion seeds, garlic paste, salt, turmeric and red chili powder with 1/4 cup water it nicely.
  5. Now add whipped yogurt and fish and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Then put grinded masala and simmer it.
  7. Then put coriander leaves.

Chatpati Machli is spicy seafood dish. Fish in marinated with lemon juice & cooked with spices. It is served with rice.
