Shalgam Ka Achar

Ingredients:
- White turnip 1 kg
- Garlic 1 clove
- Mustard oil 2 cups
- White vinegar 1/2 cup
- Raisins 1/2 cup
- Green chilies 10
- Onion seeds 1 tsp
- White cumin 1 tbsp
- Crushed red chili 2 tbsp
- Mustard powder 2 tbsp
- Jaggery 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Fenugreek seeds 7-8
Method:
- Heat water in pot and put turnip.
- Also put jaggery and vinegar.
- When turnip tender, drain water, dry it nicely and mix marked green chilies, red chili, mustard, soaked raisins, onion seeds, cumin, garlic and salt.
- Now heat mustard oil in pot, put fenugreek seeds and close stove after few minutes.
- When oil is little cool, put turnip, roast for 5 minutes on low flame and remove it.
- When it cools, put in jar.
- It is ready.
Shalgam Ka Achar is spicy achar. It is different variety. Try this achar and it is served with roti.
