Chicken Haleem

Ingredients:

  • Chicken boneless 1 kg
  • Boiled wheat 1/2 kg
  • Boiled moong, masoor & chana dal 1 cup
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Nutmeg mace powder 1/2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed cumin 1 tsp
  • Grinded green chilies 4 tbsp
  • Grinded mint leaves 4 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Fried onion 2
  • Onion (for tarka) 1
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Lemon for garnish
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Mint leaves for garnish
  • Finely chopped green chilies for garnish
  • Ginger for garnish
  • Chaat masala for garnish

Method:

  1. Put chicken, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, cumin, salt, grinded green chilies, grinded mint leaves and 2 glass water in pot and cook on low flame.
  2. When chicken tender, shred it.
  3. Grind all lentils and wheat in machine and put in chicken.
  4. Also put 1 glass water and fried onions and cook more for 30 minutes.
  5. Also mash it.
  6. When it is nicely mashed, add nutmeg mace powder and all spice powder.
  7. Now heat oil, cut onion finely, fry it and give tarka to haleem.
  8.  Then garnish with lemon, coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, ginger and chaat masala and serve.

Chicken Haleem is delicious & healthy dish. It is common recipe in Pakistan. It can be prepared with mutton or beef.
