Fried Fish With Tomto Curry

Ingredients:

  • Surmai or Dother fish 1 kg
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Carom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour 4 tbsp
  • Oil for fry

For Sauce:

  • Tomato paste 1/2 cup
  • Finely chopped ginger 1
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 8
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Onion paste 1/2 cup
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Marinate fish with black pepper, ginger garlic, salt, oil, carom and rice flour for 30 minutes.
  2. Now fry in hot oil and take it out.
  3. For sauce: Heat oil and put curry leaves.
  4. When aroma comes, add onion paste and roast it nicely.
  5. Now put tomato paste, ginger, turmeric, red chili powder and salt and roast it nicely.
  6. Then put fish, green chilies, lemon juice and ginger and close stove.
