Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Finely chopped spinach 1/2 kg
  • Chopped soya 2 bunches
  • Fenugreek leaves 12 small bunches
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Onion (finely chopped) 2
  • Green chilies 4
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter 1 small packet
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Wash spinach, soya and fenugreek leaves nicely.
  2. Put water, washed vegetables and turmeric in pot and soak it for 15 minutes so that bitterness finishes.
  3. Now drain water, keep on stove, tender all vegetables together in its water and grind it.
  4. Add meat, onion, turmeric, red chili, salt, ginger garlic paste, oil and 2 cup water in other pot and keep on stove.
  5. When meat tender, put dried grinded saag and green chilies and roast it.
  6. Now put butter and simmer it.
  7. Saag gosht is ready and serve with plain rice.

Saag Gosht is delicious Indian dish. Then combination of spinach, soya & fenugreek leaves is wonderful. You must try this new dish.
