Pickled Fish

Ingredients:

  • Pomfret fish 1/2 kg
  • Salt 1+1/2 tsp
  • White pepper 1/2+1/2 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Onion slice 1
  • Carrot slice 1
  • Cabbage slice 1 cup
  • Bean sprouts 1/2 cup
  • Long chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Chopped green onion 1/2 cup
  • Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Stock 1 cup
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Ketchup 1/4 cup
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Clean fish and wash it.
  2. Now mark cut around it, marinate with salt, white pepper, egg and flour for 30 minutes.
  3. Now heat oil and deep fry fish until light golden and crisp.
  4. Heat oil, put ginger and onion and fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Now put carrot, cabbage, bean sprout, green onion, stock, ketchup, soya sauce, chili sauce and vinegar and cook until it boils.
  6. Now add corn flour paste.
  7. Then take out fish in platter, put sauce, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Pickled Fish is wonderful dish. It is prepared with pomfret fish. It is marinated, deep fried in oil & served with vegetables gravy.
