Dry Fruit Halwa

Ingredients:

  • Fresh milk 1 liter
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Tatri 1/4 tsp
  • Alum (phitkari powder) 1/4 tsp
  • Samnak 2 tbsp
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Flour 4 tbsp
  • Almonds 50 gm
  • Dates 50 gm
  • Chopped coconut slice 50 gm
  • Raisins 50 gm

Method:

  1. Put 3 cup milk in pot.
  2. Put samnak and flour in 1 cup milk and mix it nicely.
  3. Now put mixture in pot, whisk it and mix it nicely.
  4. Then cook on stove and stir it continuously.
  5. Dissolve tatri and phitkari in 1/4 cup water in cup.
  6. When boils comes on sides of pan, close stove.
  7. Then add tatri and phitkari gradually gradually.
  8. Wait for water to come on surface.
  9. If it was not, dissolve 1 tsp tatri and 1 tsp phitkari in little water, add and dry water.
  10. Now add ghee and sugar.
  11. When water of sugar dries, put almonds, dates, coconut and raisins and serve.

Dry Fruit Halwa is delicious sweet dish. It is prepared with nuts, dates & coconut. It is commonly eaten in winter season.
