Kabuli Pulao

Ingredients:

  • Mutton or chicken 1/2 kg
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Green cardamom 3-4
  • Cinnamon 2
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 8-10
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Raisins 3 tbsp
  • Carrot 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Onion 1
  • Rice 750 gm

Method:

  1. Put chicken or mutton, salt, ginger garlic paste and water in pot and boil it until water dries and meat tender.
  2. Then heat 1/4 cup oil and fry onion until brown.
  3. Then add meat, roast it, grind cardamom, cinnamon, cumin and black pepper and soak rice.
  4. Now put 2 tbsp oil, sugar and water in pot, cook it, add salt and soaked rice and simmer it.
  5. Then add raisins, fry it, add carrot, simmer it and serve.

Kabuli Pulao is an Afghani nation dish. It is prepared with chicken or mutton, raisins, carrot & rice. You must try at home.
