Ingredients:

  • Cabbage 1
  • Onion 1
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Desiccated coconut 1 cup
  • Chicken cube 1
  • Green chilies 2-3
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar pinch
  • Lemon juice 1/2

Method:

  1. Cook onion with cumin, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, green chilies and chicken cube until onion caramelize.
  2. Then add cabbage, cover it and cook until cabbage is soft.
  3. Then add coconut, cover it again and cook it.
  4. Now add onion, cover it and cook until it is ready.
  5. Then add sugar and lemon juice for flavor.

Foogath is vegetable dry side dish. It is Anglo-Indian recipe. It is prepared with cabbage & onion and served at lunch time.
