Chocolate Chip Crumb Cake

Ingredients:

Cake:

  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Unsalted butter 1 stick
  • Eggs 2
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Sour cream 1 cup
  • Flour 2 cups
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chocolate chips 1 cup

Crumb Topping:

  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Flour 1-1/4 cup
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Unsalted butter, melted 1 stick

Chocolate Sauce:

  • Chocolate chopped 1/3 cup
  • Unsalted butter 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Spread butter and flour on tube style pan.
  2. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Then add eggs, vanilla and sour cream and mix it.
  4. Sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in other bowl.
  5. Then put chocolate chips in a small bowl and mix with one tbsp of the flour mixture.
  6. Then mix flour mixture into wet batter just until incorporated until it is mixed nicely and then mix chocolate chips.
  7. Pour it in prepared tube pan.
  8. For topping: Put the sugar, flour, salt and melted butter in small bowl, mix with your hands and put on cake batter.
  9. Then bake in oven on 190 degrees C for 50 - 55 minutes or until crumb is light golden brown.
  10. Then cool it completely.
  11. For the sauce: Melt chocolate, mix with butter and spoon over cake.
