Nizami Biryani

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (12 pieces) 1 kg
  • Brown onion 1 cup
  • Whole mix spice 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp

For Rice:

  • Basmati rice 750 gm
  • Whole mix spice 1 tbsp
  • Black cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 2 tbsp
  • Brown onion 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt 1-1/2 cup
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Saffron 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Oil 3/4 cup

For Mix Masalay:

  • Chopped tomatoes 3
  • Coriander leaves handful
  • Mint leaves 10-15
  • Chopped green chilies 6

Method:

  1. Boil chicken with 1 cup water and salt until tender.
  2. Heat oil, add whole mix spice, brown onion, ginger garlic, red chili powder and salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Now put boiled chicken and yogurt and fry it.
  4. Then add all spice, cream, saffron, tomato mixture and milk, cook for 5 minutes and take it out.
  5. Wash rice, soak it and boil with salt and black cumin.
  6. When rice 3/4 done, drain water.
  7. Spread rice on greased pan, put brown onion and chicken masala, put more brown onion, make one layer of rice, sprinkle brown onion and kewra, simmer it for 20 minutes and serve.

Nizami Biryani is tasty biryani. Its flavors are wonderful. It is prepared with chicken. You can make it with mutton or beef.
