Ingredients:

  • Beef mince 1 kg
  • Wheat 1/2 kg
  • Finely chopped onion 2
  • Finely chopped soya 4 bunches
  • Oil 1 bowl
  • Baking soda 1 pinch
  • Moong daal 1/2 cup
  • Masoor daal 1/2 cup
  • Chana daal 1/2 cup
  • Rice 1/2 cups
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For Topping:

  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Finely chopped mint leaves 1 bunch
  • Lemons 6
  • Finely chopped green chilies 8-10
  • Roasted & crushed cumin 2 tbsp
  • All spice powder 2 tbsp
  • Finely chopped ginger 4 tbsp

For Bhagar:

  • Finely chopped onion 4
  • Oil as required

Method:

  1. Soak wheat in pot, put fresh water with oil after 2-4 hours and boil it.
  2. When wheat breaks, put baking soda.
  3. Boil chana daal separate and grind in blender.
  4. Now mix moong daal and masoor daal, boil it and grind in blender.
  5. Boil rice separate, tender it nicely and remove it.
  6. Put mince, onion, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, salt and oil in big pot and roast it nicely.
  7. Then add boiled wheat.
  8. When both combines, put soya, all spice powder and green chilies.
  9. Then add all daal and rice and simmer it on low flame.
  10. Now put few coriander leaves, mint leaves, lemons, cumin, all spice powder and ginger.
  11. For bhagar: Heat oil and fry onion until golden brown.
  12. Then serve shola with hot oil, golden brown onion and topping masalay.

Shola is Afghan rice dishes. It is prepared with rice, wheat, beef and 3 lentils. It is similar to Haleem. You must try this recipe.
