Spicy Toor Daal Fry

Ingredients:

  • Arhar daal (Toor daal or Pigeon peas) 1 cup
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Crushed green chilies 6
  • Lemons 4
  • Chopped & peeled garlic cloves 4
  • Whole coriander 1 tsp
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves few

Method:

  1. Soak daal with lukewarm water and soak it.
  2. Mix coriander and cumin and grind it.
  3. Now drain water of soaked daal, put 1-1/2 cup hot water and turmeric and tender daal.
  4. Heat oil in wok and fry garlic until golden brown.
  5. Now put crushed red pepper, turmeric, green chilies, coriander and cumin, roast it slightly and add daal.
  6. Then put daal and simmer it.
  7. Then put lemon juice and mint leaves and serve with hot chapati.

Spicy Toor Daal Fry is tasty & spicy dish. Its flavors are delicious. You must try this daal at home. Serve it with hot naan.
