Yakhni Shorba

Ingredients:

For Yakhni:

  • Macaroni 1 cup
  • Chicken bones 500 gm
  • Chicken 250 gm
  • Garlic 5 cloves
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Saffron 1 pinch
  • Water 6 cups
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Green cardamom 4
  • Cinnamon 1
  • Cloves 4
  • Whole black pepper 6-8
  • Cumin 1 tsp

For Tarka:

  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Garlic 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Tara garam masala 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan, fry all yakhni ingredients, add water and cook on low flame for 1 hour.
  2. Then strain stock, separate bones, shred chicken and boil it.
  3. Now melt butter in pan, make bhagar of all tarka ingredients, put on yakhni shorba, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Yakhni Shorba is wonderful dish. Yakhni is prepared of chicken bones & macaroni and topped with garlic bhagar. It is served as soup.
