Chicken Curry

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Curd 1 tbsp
  • Onion slice 3
  • Chopped ginger 1 inch
  • Chopped garlic 3 tbsp
  • Green chilies 3
  • Curry leaves few
  • Tomato cubes 2-3
  • Potato cubes 2
  • Salt to taste

For Whole Spices:

  • Cardamoms 4
  • Cloves 4
  • Cinnamon 1 inch
  • Black pepper few

For Powdered Spices:

  • Kashmiri chili powder 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 3/4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coconut milk 1 cup
  • Coconut milk 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Method:

  1. Marinated chicken with salt, curd and turmeric and keep it aside.
  2. Now heat oil in pan and crackle whole spices.
  3. Then add onion, ginger, garlic and curry leaves and caramelize it.
  4. Now put spices paste and roast until raw smell is gone.
  5. Then add 1 cup coconut milk.
  6. Now heat little oil in pan, saute chicken and add potatoes.
  7. Now add paste, mix it nicely.
  8. Then add salt and hot water.
  9. Then add tomatoes and cook on low flame until tender.
  10. When ready, put 1/2 cup thick coconut milk and close stove.
  11. Then garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Chicken Curry is delicious & amazing dish. Chicken is marinated and cooked with coconut milk. It is served with rice of roti.
