Swedish Porridge

Ingredients:

  • Rice 1/2 cup
  • Almonds 8
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar 5 tbsp
  • Milk 2-1/2 cups
  • Cinnamon powder 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil almonds slightly, peel it and grind it.
  2. Boil 2 cup water in big saucepan.
  3. Now add rice and cook until half done without covering it.
  4. Then strain rice.
  5. Add rice, milk, salt and sugar with milk in rice and mix it.
  6. Now keep this mixture on double boiler, cover it and cook until is ready and milk is cooked.
  7. Then sprinkle cinnamon, remaining sugar and grinded almonds, put on serving dish and serve with cold milk.

Swedish Porridge is healthy sweet dish. It is prepared with rice & milk and cooked. It is served with cold milk
