Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Beef mince 250 gm
  • Onions 2
  • Wheat boiled 250 gm
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Spinach boiled 250 gm
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Red chili 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Green chilies paste 3 tbsp
  • Lemons for garnish
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Green chilies for garnish
  • Chaat masala for garnish

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry onion until brown.
  2. Now put salt, chicken, ginger garlic paste, green chilies paste, 1 glass water and red chili powder and cook on medium flame.
  3. When chicken tender, roast it, add boiled wheat, put 1 glass water more and cook on low flame for 30 minutes.
  4. Then put red chili powder, onion and salt in beef mince and grind finely.
  5. Then make 1 inch thick and long kabab and fry in 1/2 cup oil.
  6. Now close hareesa, put kabab and put remaining oil.
  7. Then garnish with green chilies, coriander leaves and lemon juice, sprinkle chaat masala and serve.

Hareesa is Middle Eastern dish. It is similar dish as haleem. It is prepared with wheat, chicken and beef. It is served with lemons, coriander leaves, green chilies, chaat masala and hot naan.
