Balti Gosht

Ingredients:
- Mutton 1 kg
- Crushed red chilies 1-1/2 tbsp
- Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Whole coriander 2 tbsp
- White cumin 1 tbsp
- Kasoori methi 1 tbsp
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Onion seeds 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds few
- Curry leaves few
- Ginger powder 2 tbsp
- Finely chopped onion 2
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Lemons 2-3
- Long chopped green chilies 4
- Finely chopped coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
Method:
- Heat ghee in pot and put fenugreek seeds.
- When aroma comes, put onion, fry until golden brown, take it out and spread on paper so that it becomes crispy.
- Now put mutton, salt and ginger, roast for 5 minutes, put 2 cups hot water and cover it.
- When meat tender, put onion, curry leaves, red chili, cumin, coriander and all spice and roast it nicely.
- Then put kasoori methi, onion seeds and black pepper and simmer it for 10 minutes.
- Then put green chilies, coriander leaves and lemon juice and serve with hot naan.
Balti Gosht is delicious dish. It is type of curry, cooked in balti (steel-wok). It is prepared with mutton and served with hot naan. You can make it with beef.
