Ingredients:

  • Oatmeal 1/2 kg
  • Boneless chicken 1/2 kg
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Cream 1 packet
  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Onion slice 1 big
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Finely chopped parsley as required
  • Chopped green chilies 6-8 (for garnish)

For Bhagar:

  • Butter 1/2 cup
  • Fried onion 2-3 tbsp
  • Chopped ginger 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry onion until light golden.
  2. Now put ginger garlic paste and chicken and fry it nicely for 5 minutes.
  3. Then put oatmeal and hot water and leave for 2 hours on low flame so that it tender.
  4. Blend mixture with salt, cinnamon powder, white pepper, all spice, parsley and cream.
  5. Then give bhagar of butter, fried onion and ginger, garnish with green chilies and serve.

Hareesa is similar dish as haleem. It is prepared with haleem and chicken. Then it is blended and served with hot naan, green chilies, coriander leaves and lemons.
