Ingredients:

  • Potatoes (peeled and cut into strips) 3 large
  • All purpose flour 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Oil for frying
  • Salmon fillets 1-1/2 pound

Method:

  1. Place potatoes in medium size bowl of cold water.
  2. In other medium size mixing bowl, mix all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir the milk and egg and stir until mixture is smooth.
  4. Let mixture stand for 20 minutes.
  5. Heat oil large wok.                                                            
  6. Fry potatoes in hot oil until tender.
  7. Drain them on paper towels.
  8. Dip fish in batter, one piece at a time and place them in hot oil.
  9. Fry until fish is golden brown.
  10. Drain well on paper towels.
  11. Sprinkle salt and vinegar on fish and chips according to taste.
