Potato Gratin

Ingredients:

  • Butter 2 tsp + 2 tsp
  • Cream 1 cup
  • Thyme 1 tsp
  • Garlic bashed 2 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg powder 1 pinch
  • Potatoes 3
  • Grated cheese 5 tbsp

Method:

  1. Add 2 tsp butter with cream in pan.
  2. Add thyme, garlic, salt, black pepper and nutmeg.
  3. Let cream reduce a little.
  4. Add sliced potatoes and 3 tbsp cheese.
  5. Let cream reduce further till thick and coat potatoes completely.
  6. Transfer creamy potatoes in greased baking dish.
  7. Top with rest of cheese and butter.
  8. Bake till cheese melts and golden brown.

Potato Gratin is French baked dish. It is prepared with potatoes, topped with cream & cheese and then baked. Try this different dish.
