Ingredients:
- Small loaf 1 (24 hours old bread)
- Plums (raisins) 3 oz
- Almonds 1 oz
- Eggs 2 or Big egg 1
- Sugar 4 oz
- Nutmeg little
- Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
- Milk 2 oz
- Butter 1 oz
Method:
- Soak whole bread.
- Mix soaked bread, washed plums, almonds, lightly beaten eggs, 3 oz sugar, a little scraped nut meg (for fragrance), 1/2 tsp vanilla, milk and 1 oz of burnt sugar (boil 1 oz. of sugar and then add a little water).
- This is boiled syrup. It is added in order to give the color.
- Grease bowl with butter and put this mixture into it.
- Spread some butter over it or mix it with the mixture.
- Take a grease paper and cover bowl.
- Boil some water in a sauce pan.
- Keep a steamer above sauce pan with pudding mixture inside.
- The pudding will get cooked in steam of water.
- It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to cook.
- When it is ready, let it cool and then turn out from bowl.
