Russian Salad

Ingredients:
- Potatoes, carrots, salad, peas, cauliflower, beet root, pumpkin 1/2 pound
- Raw tomatoes 2 oz
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Cut fine potatoes, carrots and pumpkin.
- Peel peas, take out leaves of cauliflower and cut inner part.
- Boil vegetables in water with 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Boil till they become soft.
- Ingredients for Mayonnaise Sauce:
- Egg yolks 2
- Vinegar 2 tbsp
- Cayenne pepper (chili powder) little
- Sugar 2 tbsp
- Mustard 1/2 tsp
- Milk 4 oz (1 cup)
- Olive oil 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Method:
- Separate two egg yolks from whites and place into a bowl.
- Add chili powder, sugar, mustard, olive oil, salt and milk and mix altogether.
- Then boil and keep on stirring till mixture thickens a little.
- After it is cools add vinegar.
- Pour it over boiled vegetable salad and serve.
