Black Forest Dessert

Ingredients:
- Chocolate 150 gm
- Butter 150 gm
- Coffee powder 1 tbsp
- Sugar syrup or Cherry syrup 4-5 tbsp
- Eggs separated 4-5 tbsp
- Ground almonds 4-5 oz
- Caster sugar 4 oz
For Topping:
- Cherry syrup 2 tbsp
- Cherry jam 5 tbsp
- Cream 250 ml
- Cream cheese or Hung curd 5 oz
- Toasted flaked almonds 2 oz
- Black cherries pitted 1 can
- Chocolate grated to decorate
Method:
- Melt chocolate with butter and coffee.
- Beat egg whites very stiff.
- Lightly fold in sugar and set aside.
- Beat yolks in other bowl, add ground almonds, add sugar syrup or cherry syrup and fold in chocolate mixture very lightly with spoon.
- Pour batter in greased and lined 9 inch spring-form tin and bake at 170 degrees C for 30-40 minutes or till done.
- Cool on wire rack and remove from tin once cold.
- Soak cake with cherry syrup, spread cherry jam on top, whip cream and cream cheese or hung curd and put layer of that on top.
- Decorated with cherries, almonds and grated chocolate, chill and serve.
Black Forest Dessert is delicious dessert. It is prepared with chocolate and cherry syrup. Baked, topped with cherry jam, chocolate & cherries and served chilled.
