Ingredients:
- Flour 1/2 kg
- Yeast 1-1/2 tbsp
- Baking powder 2 tbsp
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Egg 1
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Put yeast and sugar in lukewarm water and mix until both are mixed nicely.
- Then leave it for khameeri.
- When it is khameeri, add in flour.
- Then add salt, egg and baking powder and knead it.
- Then put in bowl, wrap in plastic and leave in warm place for 3-4 hours.
- Now fold dough with hands.
- Make small balls and roll like thick roti.
- Now grease oven try with oil, set roti on tray and bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees C for 10 minutes.
- Then take it out from oven.
- Pita bread is ready.
Pita Bread is used for preparing shawarma. You can make it at home easily instead from buying outside.
