Lauki Ka Dalcha

Ingredients:

  • Masoor daal 1-1/2 cup
  • Bottle gourd (long) 1-1/2 kg
  • Tamarind pulp 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Finely chopped tomatoes 3
  • Whole green chilies 5
  • Curry leaves few
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Roasted & ground cinnamon 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash daal with lukewarm water and boil it.
  2. Daal tender, blend it in blender.
  3. Now heat oil slightly in pot, put ginger garlic, turmeric and red chili powder and roast it.
  4. Then add tomatoes.
  5. Water of tomatoes dries, put bottle gourd and green chilies.
  6. Add daal and little water and tender bottle gourd.
  7. When bottle gourd tender, put curry leaves and tamarind pulp.
  8. After 5 minutes, add cinnamon and simmer it for few minutes on low flame.
  9. Delicious lauki ka dalcha is ready.

Lauki Ka Dalcha is healthy & wonderful dish. It is similar to haleem. It is prepared with masoor daal and bottle gourd. You must try this recipe.
