Koyla Dal Makhani Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Boiled mong daal 1/2 kg
  • Salt as required
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Cumin 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Chopped onions 2
  • Chopped capsicum 1
  • Chopped carrot 1
  • Butter 200 gm
  • Cream 1 packet

For Bhagar:

  • Crushed garlic 2 cloves
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped green chili 1 tbsp
  • Butter 4 tbsp
  • Coal for smoke

Method:

  1. Boil daal.
  2. Now put butter and onion in pan and saute it.
  3. When onion is pink, add ginger garlic paste, carrot and capsicum and saute it.
  4. Now put tomatoes.
  5. When tomatoes are soft, add spices one by one and roast it.
  6. Masala roasted, add daal and cook it.
  7. When daal is thick, put cream and whisk it.
  8. Now put butter in pan and fry garlic until golden.
  9. Then add cumin and green chilies and close stove.
  10. Then put bhagar on daal.
  11. Then give smoke of coal and serve with chapati or parathay.

Koyla Dal Makhani is delicious & new daal dish. Mong daal and vegetables are used. Then bhagar is poured and given smoke of coal. Serve with chapati or paratha.
