Lakhnavi Pulao Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chicken or mutton 1/2 kg
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Rice 700 gm
  • Cardamom 4-5
  • Cloves 4-6
  • Crushed black pepper 4-5
  • Cinnamon 2-3
  • Star anise 2
  • Fried onion 1 cup
  • Cumin powder 1 tbsp
  • Milk 1/2 kg
  • Saffron color 1/2 tsp
  • Rose water 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Fennel powder 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil rice.
  2. Heat oil in pan, put fried onion and chicken, roast it, add spices  and roast more.
  3. When chicken is half tender, put milk in other pan, put chicken, fennel powder and cardamom powder, dry milk, add masala, roast it and low flame.
  4. Then add masala and chicken with boiled rice in big pot, put rose water, simmer it for 30 minutes and serve hot.

Lakhnavi Pulao is tasty dish. It is prepared with chicken, rice and milk. You can also prepare with mutton and beef. Serve with raita.
