Sheer Khurma Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Milk 1 liter
  • Vermicelli 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 cups
  • Cloves 2
  • Finely crushed small cardamom 6
  • Dry dates 8
  • Finely chopped pistachios 15
  • Finely chopped almond 10-12
  • Ghee 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Take out seeds of dried dates and cut into 4 pieces.
  2. Put ghee in pot and put small cardamom and cloves.
  3. When aroma comes, put finely crushed vermicelli and roast it nicely.
  4. Then take out vermicelli, put dry dates, pistachios and almonds, fry it and take it out.
  5. Remove pot, cool for 5 minutes and put milk.
  6. Put sugar and cook for few minutes.
  7. When sugar dissolves, put dry dates, put nuts and serve hot.

Sheer Khurma is festival vermicelli pudding. It is prepared on Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. It is prepared with milk, vermicelli, dry dates and nuts.
