Kalmi Vada Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chana daal 1 cup
  • Moong daal 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies 3
  • Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Chopped ginger 1 tbsp
  • Crushed red chili 1 tsp
  • Hot oil 1 tbsp
  • Crushed cumin 1 tsp
  • Coriander crushed 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Sambal oelek 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil for deep fry

Method:

  1. Soak both daal separates for 4 hours and grind it.
  2. Now put both daal paste in bowl, mix with all ingredients and beat for 10 minutes.
  3. Then deep fry in hot oil on medium flame.
  4. Cut it from center.
  5. Now deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Then serve with chutney.

Kalmi Vada is deep fried gram snacks. It is prepared with chana daal and moong daal. Then grinded, mixed with spices and deep fried. Then cut from center, deep fried again and served with chutney.
