Burmese Khowsuey Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
  • Onion 1
  • Ginger garlic 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Coconut milk 1/2 cup
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp

For Curry:

  • Onion finely chopped 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Coconut milk 1 can
  • Gram flour roasted 4 tbsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil 1/4 cup

To Serve:

  • Eggs boiled 2
  • Green chilies 4
  • Lemon pieces few
  • Green onion as required
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Garlic fried 2 tbsp
  • Red chili crushed 2 tbsp
  • Noodles fried 1 cup
  • Onion fried 1/2 cup
  • Spaghetti boiled 1 packet

Direction:

  1. For chicken: Heat oil and fry onion until brown.
  2. Now put ginger garlic and spices and fry it nicely.
  3. Then put chicken and coconut milk, cover it and cook until chicken tender.
  4. For curry: Heat oil and fry onion until brown.
  5. Now put ginger garlic, all spice and coconut milk.
  6. When mixture boils, put roasted gram flour.
  7. Now mix in paste, put little water and stir until curry is thick.
  8. Then put on chicken with eggs, green chilies, lemon, green onion, coriander leaves, garlic, red chili, noodles, onion and spaghetti and serve hot.

Burmese Khowsuey is delicious dish. Chicken is cooked with spices and coconut milk. Then mixed in coconut milk & gram flour curry. Served with spaghetti, noodles, green chilies and boiled eggs.
