Khushbu Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Rice 1/2 kg
  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Tomatoes 1/2 kg
  • Plum 100 gm
  • Red chilies 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chilies 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Fried onion 2 cups
  • Ginger garlic 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Green chilies 6
  • Star anise 6
  • Garlic cloves 2
  • Ginger 1 piece
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves 6

Direction:

  1. Boil chicken with water, ginger garlic and salt.
  2. When chicken tender, separate stock and chicken.
  3. Then add soaked rice and salt in stock and cook.
  4. When water dries, close stove.
  5. Heat oil in other pot, put tomato slices, plum, green chilies, crushed red chilies, turmeric, salt, chicken, ginger garlic and fried onion and cool it little.
  6. When all ingredients are soft, put rice and coriander leaves, cover pot and simmer it on tawa for 20 minutes.

Khushbu Rice is tasty rice dish. Chicken is boiled. Then rice is cooked in stock. Then chicken is cooked with tomatoes, plum & green chilies, mixed with rice and simmered. Serve with raita.
