Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry as required
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Sugar 6 tbsp
  • Eggs 3
  • Cream 1 cup
  • Cinnamon powder 1 pinch
  • Rose water as required
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Almonds finely chopped for garnish
  • Pistachios finely chopped for garnish

Direction:

  1. Put milk and sugar in pan, mix it and cook until sugar dissolves.
  2. Now add eggs and mix it nicely.
  3. Then add cinnamon powder, rose water, almonds, pistachios, lemon juice and cream, mix it and remove it.
  4. Put crushed puff pastry and put remaining almonds and pistachios.
  5. Now bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees C until golden.
  6. Then take it out and serve.

Umm-e-Ali is famous Egyptian pudding. Milk & sugar is cooked and mixed with eggs, cream & nuts. Then puff pastry & nuts are poured and baked.
