Madras Sambal Recipe

Ingredients:
- Masoor daal 1 cup
- Water 2-1/2 cups
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Potato chunks 2
- Mustard 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves 4
- Onion slice 1
- Red chili powder as required
- Salt to taste
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Coconut as required
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Direction:
- Boil daal, put water, red chili powder and turmeric and cook until soft.
- Now boil potato and keep it aside.
- Then cook onion until golden.
- Now dry daal and mix potato mixture.
- Then put salt and lemon juice and simmer it for 2 minutes.
- Then garnish with coconut and coriander leaves and serve.
Madras Sambal is tasty dish. Masoor daal is boiled and mixed with boiled potatoes. Garnished with coconut & coriander leaves and served.
