Chicken Yakhni Pulao Recipe

Ingredients:
- Chicken 1 kg
- Soaked rice 1-1/2 cups
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Cloves 4-5
- Black cardamom 4
- Star anise 1
- Green cardamom 4-5
- Cinnamon 2
- Bay leaves 4
- Black peppercorns 1 tbsp
- Deep fried onion 1/2 cup
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Chicken stock cubes 2
- Yogurt 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
Direction:
- Heat oil, add cloves, black cardamom, star anise, green cardamom and cinnamon and saute until aroma comes.
- Add 2 bay leaves and black peppercorns and saute for 1 minute.
- Then add chicken, cover it and cook for 7-8 minutes.
- Now add onions and ginger garlic paste and saute it.
- Add 4 cups water and mix.
- Then tie, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, 2 bay leaves and remaining black peppercorns in muslin cloth and add in chicken.
- Add chicken stock cubes, yogurt, salt and rice and mix it nicely.
- Cover it and cook for 10-12 minutes or till both rice and chicken are cooked.
- Take out in serving dish and serve.
