Khatti Daal Nayab Recipe

Ingredients:
- Arhar daal 250 gm
- Bottle gourd 125 gm
- Turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Tamarind pulp 1/2 cup
- Jaggery 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
- Salt 1-1/2 tsp
- Green chilies whole 3
For Daal Masala:
- Coriander whole 2 tbsp
- Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
- Cumin 1-1/2 tsp
- Mash daal 1 tsp
- Red chilies whole 8
- Oil 1 tsp
For Bhagar:
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Mustard 3/4 tsp
- Curry leaves 20
Direction:
- Cook daal with 4 cups water.
- Now blend it and keep it aside.
- Then put water, bottle gourd, tamarind, salt and turmeric in pan, cover it and cook for 15 minutes.
- Now add blended daal and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Then giver bhagar, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
- For daal masala: Heat oil in pan, cook all ingredients on low flame and grind it.
Khatti Daal Nayab is tasty daal. Daal is cooked and blended. Then cooked with bottle gourd, given bhagar and serve with rice.
