Malwani Dry Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
- Boneless Chicken 1/2 kg
- Chopped Onions 4
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Ginger paste 2 tbsp
- Garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- water as required
Ingredients for Masla Paste:
- Grated coconut 1 cup
- Whole red chilies 2
- Garlic 5-6 cloves
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Coriander seed 1 tbsp
- Green Chilies 2
- Coriander Leaves 1/2 cup
- Malwani masala 2 tbsp
- Water as required
- Red chilies 12
- Coriander seeds 2 tsp
- Cloves 4-5
- Black peppercorns 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
- Green cardamoms 4-5
- Black cardamoms 2-3
- Dry coconut, grated 1/2 cup
- Poppy seeds 1 tsp
Direction
- For Masala grind all Malwani masala ingredients and set aside Method for Masala Paste:
- In a pan, roast the grated coconut and whole red chilies.
- Grind this roasted mixture with garlic, cumin seeds, roasted coriander seeds and water.
- Now add green chilies, chopped coriander, Malwani masala and a little more water.
- heat the oil in a pan and to it add ginger and garlic paste, chopped onions and cook for a while when the onion turn translucent.
- Add turmeric, salt and cook for a few minutes. Add the chicken to the pan, mix it well and then add the masala paste.
- Cook for 15-2- minutes or the chicken has cooked through and is well coated in the masala.
