Ingredients:

  • Liver 2
  • Kidney 2
  • Brain 1
  • Heart 2
  • Chops 250 gm
  • Finely chopped onion 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Kasoori methi 2 tbsp
  • Chopped tomatoes 4
  • Chopped green chilies 4
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Ginger slice 2 tbsp
  • Katakat masala 3 tsp

For Katakat Masala:

  • Fennel seeds 1/4 cup
  • Big cardamom 14
  • Black pepper 1/4 cup
  • Coconut power 1/2 cup
  • Coriander powder 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon 1/4 cup
  • Mace 1/4 cup
  • Cloves 1/4 cup
  • Small cardamom 1/4 cup
  • White cumin 1 cup
  • Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
  • Nutmeg 2

Method:

  1. Boil water in pan, put liver, kidney, brain, heart and chops, boil for 10 minutes and keep it aside.
  2. Put 1/2 cup water, onion and ginger garlic paste on tawa and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Then add boiled liver, kidney, brain, heart, chops, spices, tomatoes and green chilies, salt and do katakat.
  4. Then add ghee, yogurt and coriander leaves and roast it nicely.
  5. Then put katakat masala and kasoori methi and do katakat until all ingredients tender and ghee comes up.
  6. Serve with hot naan and raita.
  7. For katakat masala: Grind all ingredients.

Katakat Recipe is popular dish in Pakistan. It is prepared with chops, brain, kidney, liver, heart & katakat masala. It is cooked on tawa with tomato, ginger & green chilies. It is served with hot naan and yogurt. It is usually prepared in Eid-ul-Azha. You must make it at home.
