Chicken Tikka Biryani Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Tikka masala 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 3-4 tbsp
  • Food color 1 pinch
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste

For Rice:

  • Rice 2 cups
  • Oil or ghee 4 tbsp
  • Green chilies 2-4
  • Tomato 4-5
  • Brown onion 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1-1/2 tsp
  • Mint leaves handful
  • Coriander leaves handful
  • Whole black cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon sticks 2-3
  • Black cardamoms 2-3
  • Cloves 3-4
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp

Method:

  1. For chicken: Mark cut on chicken with knife.
  2. In a mixing bowl, put remaining ingredients and mix it nicely.
  3. Then marinate chicken with this marination nicely.
  4. Then heat oil, put onion and fry until golden.
  5. Then add ginger garlic paste and saute it.
  6. Then add marinated chicken and fry on high flame until color changes.
  7. Then put biryani masala and mix it nicely.
  8. For rice: Soak rice for 2 hours.
  9. Then in a pot, put water, whole black cumin and salt, mix it and boil it.
  10. Now add rice and cook until half done.
  11. Then drain its water. Rice is ready.
  12. For korma: In a pot, put ghee and put big cardamom, cinnamon and clove and roast it.
  13. Then add tomato, whole green chilies, ginger garlic paste, all spice powder and red chili powder and mix it nicely.
  14. Then put brown onion, mix it nicely and cook until it becomes paste. Korma is ready.
  15. For mixing: Put half korma in a pot. Then put half rice.
  16. Now put green coriander, green chilies and some brown onion.
  17. Then put remaining korma. Then put remaining rice and put green coriander, green chilies and some onion.
  18. In a bowl, put water, put food color, mix it nicely and put on sides of rice.
  19. Now keep chicken on sides of rice and cook on high flame for 5-7 minutes.
  20. In end, keep on simmer on low flame.
  21. Now take out in serving dish and serve with salad and raita.

Chicken Tikka Biryani Recipe is very famous & popular rice dish in Pakistani streets. It is prepared in various methods. Chicken is marinated with lemon juice & tikka masala and fried. Then cooked, mixed with rice, topped with coriander leaves & green chilies and simmered. Serve with salad and raita.
