Kachori is spicy and popular snack dish in Pakistan and India. You can make it at home easily.

Ingredients:

For Dough:

  • Maida 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 1/4 cup

For Filling:

  • Masoor daal 1/2 cup
  • Crushed red chilies 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • All spice powder 1/2 tsp

For Tarkari:

  • Potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red chilies 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Green chilies 2 chopped
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch chopped

Direction:

  1. For dough: Mix salt, cumin and oil in maida and knead with water.
  2. Then leave for 15 minutes.
  3. Then make small balls of flour.
  4. For filling: Soak daal for 1 hour.
  5. Now spread balls on hands.
  6. Then keep little daal mixture and close from all sides.
  7. Then roll with hands.
  8. Then heat oil in wok and fry kachori until crisp and golden.
  9. Then take out in tissue paper so that it absorbs oil.
  10. Serve how with aloo ki tarkari.
  11. Then boil it and grind with salt, crushed red chilies and all spice powder in grinder.
  12. For tarkari: Boil potatoes, peel it and cut into cubes.
  13. Then heat oil in pan and fry cumin.
  14. Then put potatoes, water, turmeric, red chilies, onion seeds and salt, cover it and cook it.
  15. When ready, put coriander leaves and green chilies.

Kachori is prepared with maida. Then knead and made small balls. Then stuffed with grinded masoor daal mixture and rolled. Then fried and served with aloo ki tarkari.
