Hot and Sour Soup Recipe

Hot and Sour Soup is very popular Chinese soup. It is commonly served in winter in Pakistan. You can make it at home easily.
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast 1
- Chicken stock 6 cups
- Carrot shredded 1
- Cabbage shredded 1/2 cup
- Corn flour 6 tbsp
- White vinegar 1/2 cup
- Egg 1
- Dark soya sauce 4 tbsp
- Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Chinese salt 2 tsp
- Sesame oil few drops
For Red Chili Sauce:
- White vinegar 1/2 cup
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
For Green Chili Sauce:
- White vinegar 1/2 cup
- Green chilies sliced 2
- Salt 1/2 tsp
Direction:
- Put chicken breast with 8 cups water in pot and boil it until chicken tender.
- Then remove chicken from stove, shred chicken and keep stock aside.
- In other pot, put chicken stock and bring to boil.
- Then add shredded chicken and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add carrot and cabbage mix it nicely and cook on medium flame for 1 minute.
- Then add salt, Chinese salt, dark soya sauce, vinegar and black pepper powder, mix it nicely and cook more for 1 minute.
- Then mix corn flour with 1/2 cup water.
- Then add in soup and stir it continuously until soup is thick.
- Then beat egg and add slowly in soup.
- Then take out in bowl, put sesame oil and serve hot with red chili sauce and green chili sauce.
- For red chili sauce: Put all ingredients in bowl and mix it nicely.
- For green chili sauce: Put all ingredients in bowl and mix it nicely.
Hot and Sour Soup is spicy and yummy soup. Chicken is boiled and shredded. Then cooked with boiled chicken stock, carrot, cabbage and dark soya sauce. Then mixed with dissolved corn flour and served with red chili sauce & green chili sauce.
