Macaroon is very popular French sweet food. It is easy recipe to make. Make it at home and surprise your family.

Ingredients:

  • Almond powder 250 gm
  • Icing sugar 450 gm
  • Egg whites 2
  • Caster sugar 75 gm
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Cocoa powder 2 tbsp

For Filling:

  • Cream 30 gm
  • Chocolate 100 gm

Direction:

  1. Preheat oven on 160 degrees C. and line biscuit tray with parchment paper.
  2. Now sieve almond powder, icing sugar and salt 2 times.
  3. Then beat egg whites, add caster sugar and beat with electric beater for 10 minutes.
  4. Now add cocoa powder and beat more for few minutes.
  5. Then fold sieved almond powder, icing sugar and salt in eggs mixture.
  6. Now put in 1inch nozzle piping bag and make small rounds.
  7. Then leave it for 30 minutes.
  8. Now bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. For filling: Put cream and chocolate in pan and cook until chocolate melts.
  10. Now remove from stove and keep it aside to become thick mixture.
  11. Then fill this mixture in piping bag, spread on top of one macaroon and cover with second macaroon.
  12. Prepare all macaroons like this.

Macaroon is delicious sweet food. Cocoa powder, almond powder, sugar & egg whites are mixed, made in small round shape and baked. Then filled with cream & chocolate mixture in center of 2 macaroons and served.
