Potato Balls

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 1 kg (boiled)
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander – 1 bunch
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tbsp
  • Gram flour – 2 cups
  • Oil – for frying

Method:

  1. Take a wok and mash the boiled potatoes.
  2. Add coriander, green chilies, salt, pepper, cumin and lemon juice with the potatoes and mix it well.
  3. Make small potato balls and keep it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  4. In another pot, mix salt¸ turmeric powder and red chili powder with gram flour.
  5. Make a thick paste including water and mix it well.
  6. Dip each potato ball in the batter before frying.
  7. In a deep pot, heat oil and fry potato balls until golden.
  8. Serve with tomato ketchup.

Light potato snack.
