Ingredients:

  • Chicken – 1 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Chickpeas (boiled) – 1 cup
  • Onions (finely sliced) – 2 medium
  • Tomatoes – 3 medium
  • Coriander – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – ½ cup

Method:

  1. In a pot heat oil and stir fry onions till golden.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste along with pepper and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add tomatoes and cook until tender.
  4. Add salt, coriander, cumin, turmeric and chicken.
  5. Stir well for 5 minutes.
  6. Add chickpeas with 2 cups of water and cook on a low heat.
  7. Remove from heat after 10 minutes and serve hot.

Great combination of chicken and cholay.
