Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup plus 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 3-1/2 cups boiling water
Method:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and 1/3 cup cocoa. Add in the water, margarine, and nuts. This will make a thick batter. Spread batter in a 9′x13′ baking dish.
- Mix brown sugar with 1/2 cup cocoa and sprinkle over batter.
- Place pan in oven and then pour boiling water over the batter. Bake for 45 minutes. Bubbles will appear around the edges. The top will be firm but will “float.”
- Serve warm.
A rich, moist chocolate cake that makes it's own fudge sauce while baking
