Easy French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 1/2 oz. Butter
  • 12 Slices Bread (preferably a day old)
  • 1/2 Vanilla Bean, Seeds Scraped (or 1/2 tsp. extract)
  • Cinnamon (powder)
  • Powdered Sugar

Method:

  1. Warm up milk and 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla. Bring to light boil and then remove from heat and let cool off.
  2. Whisk eggs with the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar.
  3. Heat butter in a large saucepan. Dip each slice of bread into the milk and then into the eggs. Cook on each side until browned.
  4. Place cooked French toast on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Serve warm!
