Chicken And Lentils Karahi


Ingredients


  • ½ kg chicken Karachi pieces
  • 250 grams boiled lentils
  • 1 cup oil
  • ½ bunch fresh coriander
  • 10 green tomatoes
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp hot spices powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp sliced ginger
  • 1 tbsp cumin seed
  • 1 tbsp fenugreek seed (qasoori meithi)
  • 2 tsp red chili powder

Method

  1. In a pan, heat 1 cup oil and sauté 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste in it.
  2. Then add ½ kg chicken karahi pieces and stirl on high flame.
  3. Now add 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 2 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt and 375 grams tomatoes and allow cooking in covered pan on low flame for 20 minutes.
  4. Then stir well and add 250 grams boiled lentils, 10 green chilies, 1 tbsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp hot spices powder, ½ bunch fresh coriander and 1 tbsp finely sliced ginger and allow simmering on low flame for 10 minutes. Delicious chicken and lentils Karachi is ready.
