Thika Channa Salan

Ingredients 

  • 250 gm boiled chickpeas
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 boiled tomato
  • 2 finely chopped tomatoes
  • 4-5 green chilies
  • ¼ bunch coriander, mint leaves
  • ¼ cup oil 
  • 4-5 clove of garlic
  • 1 medium ginger
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp hot spices
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp tamarind paste
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. First finely slice 2 onions, 4-5 cloves garlic, and 1 medium ginger separately and keep aside.
  2. Heat ¼ cup oil in a cooking pan.
  3. Fry in it ginger and garlic until golden.
  4. Then add in 250 gram boiled chickpeas.
  5. Fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Then add 2 bay leaves, 1 tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp whole spices, 4-5 green chilies, 1 tbsp chili powder, and salt to taste and fry more 5 minutes.
  7. Then add in finely sliced onions, 3 finely sliced tomatoes, 2 tbsp tamarind paste and ¼ bunch coriander and mint leaves fry more on medium flame. 
  8. Ready to serve.
