French Chicken Roast

Ingredients 

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Carrots 2
  • Baby potatoes 12
  • Baby onions 12
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
  • Paprika 1 tsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  •  Mustard paste ½ tsp
  •  Wooster sauce 2 tbsp 
  • Ketchup 2 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Oil
Method
  1. Marinate 1 kg chicken with 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp Wooster sauce, 1 tsp crushed black pepper, 1 tsp paprika and 2 tbsp ketchup very well.
  2. Prick chicken well with a fork; keep it aside for 2 hours.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp oil in pan, add chicken, roast well on both sides for 10 minutes.
  4. Add in 12 potatoes and 2 carrots with ½ cup of water, cover and simmer till done.
  5. Lastly add 12 baby onions. 
  6. Thickens the gravy with corn flour paste.
  7. Serve with dinner roles.

  • This roast was excellent, do try...in fact i made sandwich with the leftover that too turned out good...if anybody likes spicy can add 1tsp chilly powder.
